One-time setup

Connect to Firebase

You only do this once. Follow these steps, then paste your details below.

Step 1 — Create your database

Go to console.firebase.google.com → Create a project → name it → turn off Analytics → Create.

Then: left sidebar → Build → Firestore Database → Create database → Start in test mode → europe-west2 → Enable.

Step 2 — Get your config values

Click the ⚙️ gear icon → Project settings → scroll to "Your apps" → click </> → type any nickname → Register app. Copy the 6 values below.

Email is used for: notifying you when a new order is submitted, and sending invite links to new users.

We use EmailJS — 200 emails/month free, no credit card needed.

Setup:

Go to emailjs.com → create a free account
Email Services → Add New Service → connect Gmail or Outlook → note the Service ID
Email Templates → Create two templates:
• Order template — variables: {{to_email}} {{from_name}} {{lab_name}} {{item}} {{quantity}} {{priority}} {{notes}}
• Invite template — variables: {{to_email}} {{invite_link}} {{admin_name}}
Account → General → copy your Public Key
